Things are not going so well.

That is (was) my husband's vehicle. Luckily, my husband is fine.

He had picked it up from the the service shop yesterday, where it had been because it had a bad habit of dying while he was driving. He was driving back to work, only about 2 miles from the shop, but currently a five mile drive due to a bridge being out and detours. About half a mile from work, he noticed smoke, then a block later another driver yells, "Your car is on fire!" He pulls onto the frontage road and bails out. By the time he stood up, the front seat was engulfed in flames.

There will be an investigation. It is generally believed that the work the shop did was faulty. (Ya think?)

In moving news, we were to close this Friday, but things have been held up.

That is totally crazy!!!! My dad always told me to carry a fire extinguisher in my car and I thought he was silly, but I might rethink that...

Who had the presence of mind to take pictures? That's pretty impressive damage -- I'm so glad he wasn't hurt.
