A package came in the mail today. Q ran out to grab the mail from the mail carrier. He came running in and said, "Mommy! I think you got yarn!"
"Noo,"I said, "it's not yarn."
"It's squishy like yarn."
I told him to open it up and see what it was. He opened it and said, "It is yarn!"
I said, "Noooo."
A said, "No! It's wool! That wool stuff mom spins into yarn!" (Making little spinning movements with her hands.)
I said, "Nooooo. Open it up the rest of the way."
"Oh. It's a blanket. Why did you order a blanket?"
"It was free with my order of our TV cabinet and patio panel."
"Oh, OK. I thought it was yarn."

LOLOLOL! That's a common scene at our mailbox. One day the box held a present for the kids that I wanted to keep a secret. They thought it was yarn and had fits that I wouldn't open it to show them :P
PS. My box had roving today.
That's so funny. My kids are always shocked, shocked, when a package is not for them! And it's not as though they get them all -- it's just wishful thinking. You're not predictable, you're nicely stable. Very different.
Yay!!! Lara is blogging again!
My boxes are usually full of paper... LOL

Yep. Yarn or books are what show up at my front door. You can pretty much tell them apart, of course...but then a knitting book arrived Monday and my two worlds converged.
