PLEASE! Nothing else kan go wrong.

Yes, I know that's not how you spell kan. The (letter between b and d) on this keyboard doesn't work. I'm using this one bekause the other one had some water spilled in it.

Wednesday morning, we get to have our air konditioners unhooked, the konrete knoked out, and our sewer pipe ekavated. Every time we flush the toilet in the kids' bathroom, there's a little bakflow into the laundry room in the basement. YUK! Yes, we're trying to sell this house. It really has nothing wrong with it. We've kept it up, put a new roof on it last year. It's a nise little house. It just knows we're trying to buy a bigger one in another skhool distrikt, and it's out to get us.

Here, look at some stithing I finished a few weeks ago. Pretty, eh? It was a freebie Quaker Sampler on a Frenh website. I stithed it with remnants of silk floss I bought in a grab bag.

Aaaaack!

That's my normal state of being lately. Aaaaaack! I can breathe and relax once we're moved.

Our house is on the market. Keeping it show-worthy with four kids (and two adults, and two cats) living here, not so easy. I'm such a planner (and a bit of a perfectionist sometimes) that this whole up-in-the-air, wait-for-the-house-to-sell thing is not for me. I dream of the day we are moved, with 8,000 boxes sitting around me in my new house, and not caring when they get unpacked, because no one has to see it. LOL. But I will unpack them steadily, because that's the way I am. But it will be on my timeline, not some unknown, arbitrary one determined by house showings and realtors, and school schedules, and when-will-it-sell?

When I get stressed, I knit. Or I crochet. Or I stitch. And I have been squeezing some of that in, after the kids are in bed and I've decided that my daily quota of house self-torture has been fulfilled. I've finished several things, and I could provide in-progress pictures on others. But I haven't been taking pictures. So, here's a picture of my daughter, M, modeling the hat she made on one of her round knitting looms. Yes, she has a spot on her shirt. See what I have to contend with? ROFL.

I'm not dead.

Just exhausted and stressed. I'm so excited about Project Runway tonight! Unreasonably excited. 30 mins until the "Road to the Runway" special.

Here are some socks to entertain you. These are the ones I've kept for myself. Sorry for the blurry, boring picture. A picture stylist, I am not. From the left they are:

My first socks, made from Lion Brand Magic Stripes yarn.
My Jaywalkers, made from Trekking XXL.
My oldest daughter's Jaywalkers, made from Regia something or other. :p She has outgrown them, but they fit me!
Pomatomus, made from KnitPicks Essential.
Some socks that I don't remember the name of, from Sensational Knitted Socks, made from Regia cotton something or other.

I've also made lots of socks for my kids, my sister, and my nephew, but I don't have pictures of them. And I have finished a pair of Hedera since I took this picture.

Got to get some stuff done before Project Runway! Think they'll have anything as stylish as my socks on there? ;)

Moving can make you crazy.

I'm not even moving yet, but I'm going crazy.

We're going to be moving, so I expect blogging will be infrequent until that happens. I'm rampaging around getting the house in tip-top shape to put it on the market ASAP.

We were going to move last summer, but decided to stay and remodel instead. Well, the remodeling has been slow going, and now we have a conflict with the school district over which school our kids should go to. So, we're moving to another district. I never want to go through this again, and moving to another district will ensure that.

I'm sure glad we didn't move last summer, because if we had, we would still be in this district and not have the option of moving again so soon. New district, more bedrooms, here we come!

Cross your fingers for us, please?

Sorry, I'm breaking my own rule this time. No pictures.
